Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 80866:

Mineral Species: Epidote (Epidote-Clinozoisite series).
Location of origin: Tormiq area, northwest of Skardu, Haramosh Mountains, Baltistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan.
Description: Lustrous transparent green-brown single crystal of epidote-clinozoisite with no matrix. Both epidote (iron-rich) and clinozoisite (iron-deficient) are members of the epidote group and occur at this locality. Testing is required to determine species. One crystal edge has a small chip, but all crystal faces are clean and undamaged. Ex. Miller #M1961; collected ca. 1995.
Overall size: 37x17x8 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 37 mm
Price: $125 (plus shipping).
