Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 80968:

Mineral Species: Calcite.
Location of origin: Tsumeb Mine, Otavi-Bergland District, Oshikoto, Namibia.
Description: Sparkling cluster of lustrous transparent colorless calcite crystals completely covering one face of rounded brown matrix. The calcite crystals are rhombohedral form, are exceptionally transparent, and fluoresce only slightly under UV illumination. Most of the crystals are complete and undamaged, but a few around the periphery are incomplete. Ex. Miller #M3647; ex. Betts #72710; collected ca. 1985.
Overall size: 8x5.5x3.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 5-19 mm
Price: $75 (plus shipping).
