Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81263:

Mineral Species: Beryl var. Aquamarine Beryl.
Location of origin: Doi Ty Mine, Thuong Xuan, Thanh Hoa, Vietnam.
Description: Lustrous transparent blue aquamarine crystal, the blue gem variety of the mineral species beryl, with flat basal pinacoid termination. The aquamarine crystal has a very blue color, with no tint of green, that is highly sought by collectors. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, but minor damage is visible under 20x magnification. Weight: 4.2 grams.
Overall size: 42x9x6 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 42 mm
Price: $425 net (plus shipping).
