| Mineral Species: Datolite pseudomorphs after Glauberite
(epimorphs). Location of origin: Prospect Park Quarry, Prospect Park, Passaic County, New Jersey. Description: Classic specimen of pale-green datolite pseudomorphs after elongated glauberite crystals to 50 mm that were in hemispherical radiating clusters. The glauberite formed first, was overgrown with datolite, then dissolved leaving the casts in the datolite. No damage. Ex. Rutgers University Geology Museum in 2001. Overall size: 8x8x5 cm.
