Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81535:

Mineral Species: Braunite-II and Calcite.
Location of origin: N'Chwaning II Mine, Kalahari Manganese Field, Northern Cape Province, South Africa.
Description: Complex cluster of lustrous black di-pyramidal braunite-II crystals to 13 mm intermixed with lustrous translucent white-to-brown calcite crystals to 3 mm. Braunite-II is the silica-deficient analog of braunite. Displays well in several orientations. All crystals are complete and undamaged, except the outer edges where it was attached to surrounding matrix. Ex. Marshall Sussman private collection.
Overall size: 5x4x3.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 0.5-13.0 mm
Price: $675 net (plus shipping).
