| Mineral Species: Bournonite (cyclic twinned crystals). Location of origin: Yaogangxian Mine, 32 km southeast of Chenzhou, Hunan, China. Description: Doubly terminated lustrous silver-metallic bournonite crystals, repeatedly twinned on the {110} plane, with highly reflective parallel crystal faces on all sides. The bournonite crystals have striated prism faces with complex pyramidal terminations. Complete and undamaged except the contact where it was formerly attached to surrounding matrix. Bournonite, PbCuSbS3, is an uncommon lead-copper sulfosalt mineral. Weight: 35.2 grams. Reference: Mineralogical Record v.42#6, Rocks and Minerals v.80#1. Overall size: 30x21x19 mm.
