Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81556:

Mineral Species: Pyrite with Chalcocite coating plus Quartz.
Location of origin: Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico.
Description: Complex lustrous yellow-metallic pyrite crystals to 18 mm, with thin bluish gray-metallic surface coating of chalcocite on select pyrite crystals, in white dickite clay-rich matrix, with lustrous transparent colorless quartz crystals to 3 mm. Most of the crystals are complete and undamaged, but a few around the periphery are incomplete. Collected in 2015. Analysis of coating performed from Ben Grguric at South Australian Museum.
Overall size: 5.5x5.5x4.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-18 mm
Price: $55 (plus shipping).
