Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81662:

Mineral Species: Datolite, Quartz, Calcite, and Pyrite.
Location of origin: Millington Quarry, Bernards Township, Somerset County, New Jersey.
Description: Lustrous transparent pale-green datolite crystals to 4 mm over an earlier generation of smoky quartz crystals to 5 mm on gray basalt. Colorless rhombic calcite crystals to 2.5 mm and pyrite microcrystals are scattered over the datolite throughout. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, but minor damage is visible under 20x magnification. From my personal collection; collected in 2000. This quarry is now closed forever and reclaimed.
Overall size: 8x7.5x5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: micro to 4 mm
Price: $35 (plus shipping).
