Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81756:

Mineral Species: Olmiite on Calcite.
Location of origin: N'Chwaning II Mine, Kalahari Manganese Field, Northern Cape Province, South Africa. (Type Locality for Olmiite) Click here to see other minerals from Type localities.
Description: Lustrous translucent pink-tan olmiite crystals to 7 mm on a plate of transparent colorless scalenohedral calcite crystals to 3 mm over an earlier generation of tan-colored olmiite crystals. The main group of olmiite crystals are prismatic crystal form. No damage. Ex. Miller collection T3970; ex. Betts #60896.
Overall size: 33x27x22 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-7 mm
Price: $225 (plus shipping).
