Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81808:

Mineral Species: Fluorapatite.
Location of origin: Foote Mine, King's Mountain, Cleveland County, North Carolina.
Description: Lustrous transparent brown fluorapatite crystals on one face of quartz-muscovite matrix. The fluorapatite crystals fluoresce orange under longwave ultraviolet illumination. All crystals are complete and undamaged, except the outer edges where it was attached to surrounding matrix. Ex. Miller collection T2682; ex. Betts #64253; ex. Dana & Betty Morse collection.
Overall size: 26x25x22 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 3-10 mm
Price: $28 (plus shipping).
