| Mineral Species: Pyrite. Location of origin: ZCA Pierrepont Mine, Pierrepont, St. Lawrence County, New York. Description: Cluster of large lustrous yellow-metallic pyrite crystals with smaller pyrite crystals on the surfaces with minor white talc in crevices. The pyrite crystals are pyritohedral form and are encountered as nodules enclosed in the surrounding talc deposits. The specimen was extracted from solid rock, not from a cavity, resulting in minor surface imperfections where the surrounding matrix was removed. Ex. Miller collection T2560; ex. Betts #63197.
