Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81943:

Mineral Species: Realgar and Calcite with Orpiment.
Location of origin: Getchell Mine, Humboldt County, Nevada.
Description: Lustrous transparent red realgar crystals to 5 mm in translucent gray calcite on front and rear of matrix with minor yellow orpiment. The crystals grew in a constricted cavity preventing complete crystal development. Most visible crystals are complete and undamaged except a few places where they contacted the cavity wall. Ex. Miller collection T834.
Overall size: 32x222x10 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-5 mm
Price: $26 (plus shipping).
