Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81944:

Mineral Species: Acanthite.
Location of origin: Mine d'Imider, 6.2 km ESE of Imiter, Tinghir Province, Drâa-Tafilalet, Morocco.
Description: Vertical formation of interconnected gray metallic acanthite crystals with no matrix attached. The acanthite crystals are pseudo-octahedral form, in groups of parallel orientation, with sooty surface luster. The specimen formed in a cavity with many crystals intersecting in all directions. Most crystals are complete except in areas where they intersected adjacent crystals in the cavity. Ex. Miller collection T422.
Overall size: 28x18x14 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-10 mm
