Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81969:

Mineral Species: Elbaite Tourmaline.
Location of origin: Brack Prospect, East Glastonbury, Hartford County, Connecticut.
Description: Lustrous transparent pale-green elbaite tourmaline crystal with faintly pink color on the bottom end, from a small rotted pegmatite that was privately worked over 50 years ago. The elbaite tourmaline crystal is partially terminated and nearly flawless. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, but minor damage is visible under 20x magnification. Ex. Miller collection T2912; ex. Betts #64816; ex. Richard Schooner (1925-2007).
Overall size: 14x4x4 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 14 mm
Price: $75 (plus shipping).
