Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81990:

Mineral Species: Pyromorphite.
Location of origin: Wheatley Mine, Phoenixville, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
Description: Lustrous translucent olive-green pyromorphite crystals on brown limonite-rich matrix. The pyromorphite crystals are hexagonal form with basal pinacoid terminations. A rich pyromorphite specimen from the famous mine that closed in 1920. Though many crystals are complete and undamaged, there are missing or incomplete crystals scattered throughout. Ex. John H. Marshall (1931-2008) collection #2439; ex. Hingham Geologic Collection No. 59D.
Overall size: 8x8x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-5 mm
Price: $575 net (plus shipping).
