Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82098:

Mineral Species: Barite.
Location of origin: Lucy Tongue Level, Greenside Mine, Patterdale, Cumbria, England.
Description: Lustrous translucent yellowish-white bladed barite crystals, in a rosette-shaped formation of oriented crystals, with no matrix attached. Microscopic brown crystals, possibly goethite pseudomorphs, are scattered over the surfaces of the barite crystals. No damage. Collected by John and Robert Lawson.
Overall size: 4.5x3.5x2 cm.
Size of individual crystals: micro to 20 mm
Price: $125 (plus shipping).
