Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82147:

Mineral Species: Brochantite.
Location of origin: Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico.
Description: Cluster of lustrous transparent dark-green brochantite crystals with remnants of white clay-rich matrix on bottom rear. The brochantite crystals vary from thin, hair-like crystals to striated prismatic form with steep chisel-shaped terminations. The specimen formed in a cavity with many crystals intersecting in all directions. Most crystals are complete except in areas where they intersected adjacent crystals in the cavity. Ex. Miller collection T1044; ex. Betts #73842; collected in 2012-2013.
Overall size: 15x11x10 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 4-8 mm
Price: $36 (plus shipping).
