Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82270:

Mineral Species: Diopside.
Location of origin: Dog Lake, Ontario, Canada.
Description: Two intersecting lustrous translucent gray-brown diopside crystals fully crystallized on all faces with no matrix attached. The diopside crystals were encapsulated in surrounding calcite that was dissolved to expose the diopside. The specimen was extracted from solid rock, not from a cavity, resulting in minor surface imperfections where the surrounding matrix was removed. Ex. Miller collection T3304; originally acquired in 2016 from Excalibur Minerals.
Overall size: 27x22x20 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 12-22 mm
Price: $26 (plus shipping).
