Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82279:

Mineral Species: Bastnäsite-(Ce).
Location of origin: Trimouns Mine, Ariège, Midi-Pyrénées, France.
Description: Lustrous platy hexagonal transparent yellow-brown bastnäsite crystals in a subparallel fan-shaped formation with no matrix attached. Weakly radioactive. Ex. Miller collection T2254; ex. Betts #58526.
Overall size: 8x6x2 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-8 mm
Price: $30 (plus shipping).
