Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82310:

Mineral Species: Tremolite var. Chrome Tremolite.
Location of origin: Mangari, Taita Taveta District, Kenya.
Description: Partial crystal of green chrome-rich tremolite that clearly exhibits sectional zoning when viewed down the C-axis. Chrome-rich tremolite specimens are commonly sold as Chrome Tremolite, but this is not a valid species. Ex. Miller collection T082; ex. Betts #61856; from the private thumbnail-sized mineral collection of Frank Melanson; collected in 1998..
Overall size: 14x8x7 mm.
