Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82419:

Mineral Species: Amandine Garnet.
Location of origin: Mount Apatite, Auburn, Androscoggin County, Maine.
Description: Small cluster of lustrous transparent-to-translucent red-brown almandine garnet crystals on a crystallized almandine mass. The almandine garnets are dodecahedral form. All crystals are complete and undamaged, except the outer edges where it was attached to surrounding matrix. Ex. Miller collection T126; collected ca. 1970.
Overall size: 25x16x12 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-4.5 mm
Price: $30 (plus shipping).
