Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82606:

Mineral Species: Calcite.
Location of origin: Roncari Quarry, East Granby, Hartford County, Connecticut.
Description: Lustrous transparent colorless calcite crystals to 14 mm from an old, little-collected locality. At first glance, the largest calcite crystal appears to be six-sided prismatic form, but it is actually rhombohedral form with one corner cleaved. Ex. Miller collection T688; ex. E. Greene private collection CAR-52.
Overall size: 20x16x15 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 3-14 mm
Price: $10 (plus shipping).
