Description: | An old-time specimen from the famous Sweet Home Mine: large rhombic pink rhodochrosite crystals up to 3 cm on edge in pyrite-rich matrix. The rhodochrosites vary from red to lighter pink where fractured. Originally acquired from R. Hauck in 1974 for $75. Ex. Dr. Eugene E. Sensel (1911-2000) collection #B1 450 |
