Locality:Pech, Nuristan Province, Afghanistan
Description:Single crystal of translucent blue aquamarine beryl with no matrix attached. The flat termination is lustrous (with minor ding) and transparent. On the back side are bubble-shaped cavities on the surface from partial inclusions, now dissolved away.
