Locality:Lime Crest Quarry (Limecrest), Sussex Mills, 4.5 km northwest of Sparta, Sussex County, New Jersey
Description:Single octahedral crystal of brown spinel 3 mm across in white Franklin marble matrix with minor yellow-orange norbergite. Good crystal of spinel for the locality, highly sought-after by local collectors. Ex. Earle C. Sullivan (1906-2005), author of History and Minerals of Old Mine Park, Trumbull, Ct.
