Mineral:Gypsum var. Selenite Fish-tail Twin
Locality:Ocampo, Coahuila, Mexico
Description:Large formation of twinned selenite crystals 15 cm tall. The selenite crystals have a matte surface texture giving a frosted appearance. Bottom has been sawn flat to stand upright. Amazingly no damage or dings! (Selenite is very soft.) Ex. Earle C. Sullivan (1906-2005), author of History and Minerals of Old Mine Park, Trumbull, Ct.
