Description: | Dark sphalerite crystals up to 8 mm with gray-tan, saddle-shaped dolomite crystals up to 6 mm. Good, old-time specimen dating to the early days of mining in the Tri-State district which peaked in 1916. Has label from A.E. Foote attached to specimen. Ex. Westtown School (West Chester, Pa.) Collection no. 6848, donated by Lewis Woolman, with Foote label (1879-1891). |
