Description: | Large cluster of crystallized calcite from an old museum collection. Iceland calcite is usually available only as cleavages, but the this specimen has large (6-8 cm) crystals with many smaller, parallel crystal faces on the surface. Ex. Westtown School (West Chester, Pa.) Collection no. 6612, donated by Samuel Alsop (ca. 1850). |
