Description: | Rhombic brown siderite crystals up to 17 mm on edge in white cryolite matrix from the famous mine in Greenland. Good old specimen with label dating to the 1880s. A historic specimen from this famous mine that originally opened in 1854. Ex. Westtown School (West Chester, Pa.) Collection no. 6701-3, donated by Walter M. and Alfred B. Jones (1843-?). |
