Description: | Single crystal of amethyst quartz with unusual trigonal shape and three-faced termination. Minor damage to one edge. The upper half of the crystals is transparent deep purple, the bottom half is translucent, milky color. This quartz outcrop was completely excavated by open pit mining ca. 1983 |
