Description: | Large (3 cm), transparent crystals of purple fluorite with partial overgrowth of brown siderite crystals up to 4 mm. The fluorite crystals are twinned and fluoresce violet under UV illumination. Most of the crystals are undamaged. Ex. Westtown School (West Chester, Pa.) Collection no. 5946, donated by Walter M. and Alfred B. Jones (1843-?). |
