Description: | Pristine specimen of lustrous, black sphalerite crystals up to 6 mm with overgrowth of translucent, colorless calcite crystals up to 14 mm. The calcite crystals are flattened rhombic form and the dark sphalerite beneath can be seen through the calcite. Ex. Westtown School (West Chester, Pa.) Collection no. 6568, donated by Walter M. and Alfred B. Jones (1843-?). |
