Description: | Large, dark green andradite garnet crystal 6 cm across with several smaller garnets on the base. The surface has zebra-like stripes from a surface coating that is crazed. The book Minerals of Mexico says crystals occur here up to 5 cm - this one is 6 cm! Ex. Robert C. Linck (1905-1970) |
