Mineral:Phosgenite
Locality:Monteponi, Sardinia, Italy
Description:Heavy galena matrix with colorless crystals of phosgenite lining a shallow cavity. The phosgenite fluoresces under UV illumination. Purchased from Ward's in 1910. Linck wrote in Anglesite as the mineral - however Gage was a better mineralogist. Ex. Robert C. Linck (1905-1970); Ex.Robert B. Gage (1875-1946)
