Description: | Gray quartz crystal matrix overgrown with lustrous black cassiterite crystals up to 6 mm and elongated, translucent schorl tourmaline crystals up to 4 mm. (This is the first translucent schorl I have seen.) Possibly from the Old Beam Tin Mine. Ex. Dr. Eugene E. Sensel (1911-2000) collection #M1004 |
