Locality:Fairfax Quarry, 6.4 km west of Centreville, Fairfax County, Virginia
Description:Colorless crystals of apophyllite on green prehnite matrix. The apophyllite phyllite crystals are flattened, tabular crystals with lustrous, striated faces. Hard to photograph - must be seen in person to be appreciated.
