Locality:Black Hills, South Dakota
Description:Hemispherical formation of colorless, scalenohedral, calcite crystals up to 2 cm long, with overgrowth of reddish, second generation of calcite crystals up to 3 mm on one side. The reddish color is probably due to limonite. No damage. Hard to photograph. Ex. Joseph D'Agostino collection 25CP
