Description:Section of a large quartz crystal cut and polished on both sides to show the smoky internal phantom zones. In the center is a faint zone with three-axis symmetry demonstrating that quartz crystals are trigonal, not hexagonal. Ex. Joseph D'Agostino (1904-1988) collection 1AL
