Mineral:Calcite on Cuprite
Locality:Tsumeb Mine, Otavi-Bergland District, Oshikoto, Namibia
Description:Thin plate of dark red cuprite crystals almost completely overgrown with hemispherical aggregates up to 25 mm diameter of calcite. The calcite has green malachite inclusions and fluoresces bright orange under UV illumination. Ex. J. Cilen (1916-1997) #15065
