Mineral:Quartz var. Amethyst
Locality:Boekenhouthoek area, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa
Description:Two central crystals of dark purple-gray amethyst quartz with many smaller crystals around the sides (this formation is frequently labeled Cactus Quartz). All of the amethyst is lustrous and transparent. Minor damage.
Overall Size:4x2x2 cm
Crystals:3-40 mm
