Mineral:Spessartine Garnet on Microcline with Quartz and Hyalite Opal
Locality:Putian, Tongbei-Yunling District, Fujian Province, China
Description:Lustrous wine-red trapezohedral spessartine garnet crystals to 9 mm on white microcline with a few scattered translucent smoky quartz crystals to 6 mm. Hyalite opal on the edges fluoresces bright green under UV illumination.
