Locality:Balkhash Lake, near Preozersk, Karaganda Oblast, Kazakhstan
Description:Transparent purple amethyst quartz crystal on thin plate of brown matrix. The purple amethyst color is in zones and most intense at the termination. Part of the amethyst crystal has overgrowth of translucent hyalite that fluoresces green under UV.
