Mineral:Quartz with Rutile and Hematite inclusions
Locality:Novo Horizonte, Bahia, Brazil
Description:Part of a transparent colorless quartz crystal with inclusions of straw-yellow acicular rutile crystals to 10 mm and smaller platy gray-metallic hematite crystals to 4 mm. The rear edge was sawn off to reduce bulk without risking damage. Ex. Mel Pollinger collection #1729; originally acquired from Thom Bee
