Description: | Small, well-formed crystals of dark-red almandine garnets in mica schist matrix. These were recovered during construction of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge between Brooklyn, and Staten Island, in New York City in 1963. Ex. A. Lincoln Sherk II, MD. (1896-1970) |
