Description: | Yellow metallic plate of tetrahedral chalcopyrite crystals with octahedral pyrite. The pocket was originally filled with calcite that protected the crystals. The calcite was dissolved away to reveal the chalcopyrite. The bottom matrix is black magnetite. Ex. A. Lincoln Sherk II, MD. (1896-1970) |
