Locality:Crystal Grove, Lassellsville, Montgomery County, New York
Description:Large matrix specimen (rare!) of two Herkimer Diamonds (doubly-terminated, colorless quartz crystals) in dolostone matrix. The crystals almost completely fill the small cavity. Matrix specimens are hard to collect because the crystals tend to pop off.
