Description: | Large smoky quartz crystal 70 mm long with lustrous black ferberite crystals up to 25 mm. Overgrown over the back side are pyrite and bertrandite crystals up to 7 mm. Hard to photograph, must be seen in person. Sensel paid Obodda $200 for the specimen. Ex. Dr. Eugene E. Sensel (1911-2000) collection #M796; acquired from Herb Obodda in 1993 |
