Description:Large specimen of goethite-hematite iron ore with an internal cavity lined with lustrous black botryoidal goethite. The goethite-hematite formed from iron liberated by the decomposition of serpentine and was mined in surficial deposits in the area. Ex Joe Cilen (1916-1997) #1181
