Locality: | Pugh Quarry (France Stone Co. Custar Quarry), 6 km NNW of Custar, Wood County, Ohio |
Description: | Prismatic crystals of white celestine (celestite) up to 8 mm intergrown with hemispherical rosettes up to 7 mm diameter of yellow calcite microcrystals. Both minerals fluoresce and phosphoresce white under UV illumination. Clean and undamaged. |
