Description:Large hexagonal red-violet ruby corundum crystal with no matrix attached. The basal pinacoid faces show deep color and crystal growth patterns. The prismatic faces are rough and show alluvial wear. Ex. John A. Rorer, Jr. collection #090; ex. Wards
